search and rescue teams found a missing Van and three more bodies on Thursday as part of continuing efforts to locate 10 people who went missing on Friday after a bridge over the Filyos river in the northern province of Zonguldak partially collapsed.

The partial collapse in Zonguldak's Çaycuma district happened last Friday, April 6, causing two vehicles to fall into the river. Two bodies were found earlier this week.

Helicopter-assisted search and rescue efforts still continue, but so far they have not found more survivors, as rising waters continue to hamper their progress.

On Thursday the bodies of three men -- İsmail Örenbaş, Mehmet Başören and Alim Başören -- were recovered from a van in the river and taken to the Çaycuma State Hospital's morgue. Twenty-five divers and nearly 100 search and rescue workers worked for hours to pull the van out of the river. Funeral ceremonies were held for the victims of the accident on Friday.

The van that was pulled from the river was taken to the Çaycuma Police Department, where experts and prosecutors will examine the vehicle.

Çaycuma District Disaster and Emergency Management Director Ahmet Güngör told the press on Monday that 110 people are currently involved in the search and rescue operation. He said the water is still very high and divers are only able to dive in shallow parts of the river.

On Monday, İstanbul Mayor Kadir Topbaş ordered a rescue team from İstanbul be sent to Çaycuma in order to bolster the search and rescue efforts.
