He is walking the ancient Silk Road and plans to cover 40.500 Km in 1535 days.
Walking at a speed of 25 kilometers a day, he will cross 26 nations and trek from an altitude of 150m to 5180m.
Marino, 32 and a former pre-school teacher, said that the aim of his journey was to meet different people and cultures and write a book on his adventures and experiences.
So far, Curnis has walked through Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldavia, Ukraine, and Turkey.
Curnis reached the eastern Turkish province of Erzincan today and is planning to pass through the city in four days. He did not complain about weather conditions and other difficulties along the route.
Turkish corporation Sabanci Holdings and two Italian companies are sponsoring his epic journey.
The determined walker will continue on to Iran, the Central Asian republics, China and Korea. At the end of 15-16 months Curnis is planning to reach Japan.
