France's outgoing President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife, Carla Bruni, will travel to Turkey in late May for a vacation, a Turkish media report said over the weekend.
The couple will set sail on the Mediterranean for a cruise on a yacht owned by French TV host Peri Cochin, news portal ntvmsnbc.com reported on Saturday. Guests on the 42-meter luxury yacht will be served by Turkish crew, the report also said.
Captain Hamit Bilge said the yacht spends six months of the year in Turkey's popular Aegean resort of Bodrum and tours the Mediterranean the other six months with Cochin and her guests. Sarkozy and Bruni's cruise will last two weeks and Cochin will join the couple during a portion of the trip, Bilge was quoted as saying by the ntvmsnbc.com.
