Jordanian prime minister travels to Turkey for constitutional celebration

Jordanian Prime Minister Awn Shawkat al-Khasawneh arrived in Turkey on Tuesday to attend celebrations to mark the establishment 50 years ago of the Turkish Constitutional Court. Prime Minister Khasawneh will meet Turkish President Abdullah Gül, Chief Judge of the Constitutional Court Hasım Kiliç and other dignitaries during his visit to Turkey, the Anatolia news agency reported on Tuesday.

In a statement released Tuesday the Jordanian Prime Ministry said Jordan aims to study the Turkish model as it develops the Jordanian Constitution and raises human rights standards in the country.
