Acquisition of Turkish citizenship by marriage

This is one of the e-mails that has been waiting for a long time in my inbox (I am sorry for the delay in responding); I am not correcting some misused words and sentences. Indeed, I like the diversity of readers from different countries.
“Dear Mr. Cektir, Hello, I am puzzled about my situation and I hope you help me answer my questions fateful me and my daughters, I have proposed to me a Turk nationality, which is religion and high morals, but I was married before and I have two daughters and he want me live with him in Turkey and I would like to inquire about the following. Thankful you in advance you read the letter & I’m waiting your answer;

1st question: Can I have the right to take Turkish citizenship upon marriage or should I wait to be on my marriage a certain period?”

Turkish citizenship is not acquired upon marriage to a Turkish citizen. A foreign national who marries a Turkish citizen is eligible to apply for Turkish citizenship three years after the marriage contract is signed.

There are some prerequisites for Turkish citizenship through marriage. In addition to conditions required of all applicants for Turkish citizenship, an applicant married to a Turkish citizen is also required to fulfill the following conditions:

The applicant must live with his or her Turkish spouse “with integrity.” This most likely means the authorities will investigate to see that the marriage is not a fake one. The applicant must comply with marriage law and avoid actions prohibited by the law. What does it mean to comply with the understanding of marriage? What are the dos and don’ts? I presume if the spouses do not engage in any acts that are cause for divorce, then the marriage is understood to be in compliance with the expectations of Turkey’s citizenship requirements.

“2 - In case been given Turkish nationality can he allow my daughters take Turkish nationality also by the fact that Turkey has become the mother of nationality or must elapse a certain period until the matter?”

If you have custody of your children at the time you acquire Turkish citizenship, your children will be able to acquire Turkish citizenship upon the consent of the father. In case the father does not give his consent, then you should be able to apply to the family court and request that the judge resolve this matter.

“3rd question; How will my daughters and I are in the legal case is not giving us citizenship only after a period of time?”

Your legal position will only be that of foreign national status. You need to apply for a residence permit and work permits (only if you are planning to work in Turkey).

“4th question, do I have to take permission from the State of origin, which carry their nationality ... But I am a national of one the Gulf States.”

This solely depends on your original country’s legislation. Whereas some countries do forbid dual citizenship, in others people are free to have more than one country’s citizenship.
