Turkish citizenship is not acquired upon marriage to a Turkish citizen. A foreign national who marries a Turkish citizen is eligible to apply for Turkish citizenship three years after the marriage contract is signed.
There are some prerequisites for Turkish citizenship through marriage. In addition to conditions required of all applicants for Turkish citizenship, an applicant married to a Turkish citizen is also required to fulfill the following conditions:
The applicant must live with his or her Turkish spouse “with integrity.” This most likely means the authorities will investigate to see that the marriage is not a fake one. The applicant must comply with marriage law and avoid actions prohibited by the law. What does it mean to comply with the understanding of marriage? What are the dos and don’ts? I presume if the spouses do not engage in any acts that are cause for divorce, then the marriage is understood to be in compliance with the expectations of Turkey’s citizenship requirements.

If you have custody of your children at the time you acquire Turkish citizenship, your children will be able to acquire Turkish citizenship upon the consent of the father. Your legal position will only be that of foreign national status. You need to apply for a residence permit and work permits (only if you are planning to work in Turkey).
