2 Turkish Engineers in Brain Team of Grundfos
| One of the world's leading pump producers, Grundfos, has included two young Turkisk engineers in its brain team of 20 people from 10 countries. The Grundfos administration was initially reluctant to include Turkey in the list, as it was sceptical about the quality of its engineering education. But, upon the insistence of Turkey General Manager Karsten Pillukeit, it allotted place for one person. Impressed by the talent of the engineer selected, the administration then canceled the Czech Republic's quota and requested another engineer from Turkey. |

After undergoing training for two years, the new recruits will be given senior administrative positions. This is the first time the Danish pump manufacturer has enlisted the skills of promising new graduates from different countries. It had been suggested that two young people from, Denmark, England, Norway, Italy, Spain, Russia, Canada, U.S., Portugal and Czech Republic be selected and employed in administrative positions in future. Grundfos' Turkey General Manager Karsten Pillukeit's recommendation, "There are good faculties in Turkey. Good engineers are raised," was not taken seriously at first. But thanks to his insistence, Turkey was allotted a one-person quota. |
