The price for these missiles was paid by small Palestinian children and innocent civilians, and the perpetrators of these meaningless missile attacks could not be found.Those Qassam missiles became a great excuse for Israel to rain bombs down on Gaza. Who are those missiles, which do not do anything for the Palestinians who meant no harm to Israel, actually striking?
It is perhaps a rude expression, but today terrorism is like the mistress of the established order worldwide. Thanks to terror, every kind of action done by the established order is covered up with a justification.
The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), or any other organization using terror as a method, serves nothing but the strengthening of the established order and its survival in a more powerful form. For instance, who benefits from the attack in Reşadiye? Can you claim that the Kurds benefited from it? Will the state be seized with fear and settle down and will it say, “OK, then, we will give them what they demand so that they stop attacking us”? No, this kind of attack will serve to bring nothing but the re-establishment of martial law and similar governing methods and the delay of Turkey’s democratization process.
Indeed, they cannot obtain the goal they wanted. Since the nation has watched this notorious scenario unfold many times, the plans will be to no avail. The Reşadiye attack is merely enough to prove that the PKK is the mistress of the forces of evil. It is clearly apodictic that the PKK is completely irrelative to protecting Kurds’ rights, and the organization steps in when it is needed by the forces of evil to survive, whereas when it is not needed, it disappears to take a rest.
This organization had suspended its activities when the forces of evil were trying to subdue society with countless lies and acts of slander in the Feb. 28 process. Its activities peaked during the election process that brought Abdullah Gül to the presidency. Soldiers’ funerals were turned into a platform for opposition, and Ergenekonists were trying to use these as a way to develop a counterattack. The PKK was the biggest abettor and assister in these efforts.
Today, in the darkest moment of these forces of evil, the PKK and the Kurdish Democratic Confederation (KCK) come to its aid. Just when Turkey is ready to free itself of all its anti-democratic shackles, the PKK and the KCK are on the stage once again. But we know that they are enemies of Kurds and Turks as well as all of the innocent people residing in this country.
