It is time for you to see the truth: Those who murdered children alongside the Munzur river in the past, those who massacred innocent people arguing that they were insurgents still hold the same views. They made plans to exterminate children by taking them to a museum so that they could blow them all up. I cannot believe it while writing this, but they are there, sitting in their chairs, busy devising horrible plans. My dear people, be aware and wake up already! They have ties with the media, they use silencers, they do not want you to be aware of the truths and realities. The media bosses are working hard to make sure that you remain indifferent to what is actually happening. The plots and treasons are concealed; there are attempts to exonerate the pro-junta actors. They have connections in the supreme judiciary, the universities, the bar associations and the business world. They are playing their cards because they have to face the Ergenekon investigation.
My people, wake up already! They have tried over the past several years to divide you, by relying on different plots, provocations and conspiracies, along the lines of Turk-Kurd, Sunni-Alevi, piety-secularism. They have killed journalists and intellectuals; they accused religious people of these murders. They burnt people in Sivas alive; they argued that the Sunnis did this. They committed a massacre in Başbaşlar for revenge. They argued that this was the job of the Alevis and Kurds. They committed 17,500 murders in the Southeast; they provoked the people to promote ethnic politics.
They have a short life span, actually; however, they live long because of the brutal and merciless media bosses; I am saying this with extreme clarity. Let me keep the names, but you will know them by the Cage Action Plan and their reluctance to address other conspiracies against the nation. If only a few papers and TVs make headlines of such incidents, they will not last long. Their protective walls will be destroyed in such a case. The pro-coup bar associations will have to deal with the consequences of their actions. The politicians advocating the Ergenekon plot will be publicly humiliated. But they have not done and they will not, because if they do, the status quo they have built together will be eliminated and the guardianship regime over the populace will be over. The barriers before democracy will be lifted.
My dear nation, it is your job now to take action; you are at the crossroads and there is only one way out. We have to act together. Regardless of our faith, religion, ideas, ethnic origin, sect, today, as brothers on these soils, we have to act together to protect our freedoms, humanity, liberties, honor and rights. We have to ask for further democracy, human rights and rule of law; we have to do this for all of us. For this, we have to be enemies of enmity; we have to be friends of friendliness. The pro-junta actors want to exploit our diversities and differences; let us abort their plots and games.
Let us connect and integrate no matter what we are; regardless of whether we are Turk, Kurd, Sunni, Alevi, secular or religious, let us act together. We could stop those who want to trigger another conflict on these soils by forgiving each other.
My dear people! Let us say “do not hurt others,” even if you have been hurt before. Let us be one soul against those who want to divide us. Let us be emphatic to all pain that others have suffered from. Let us not compare our pain and suffering; we are dealing with murderers familiar with spilling the blood of the innocent.
Only our brotherhood, togetherness, tolerance and love for each other could stop them. As they make plots, let us become more eager and ambitious to improve the brotherly ties; there are plots everywhere. It is like we are trapped by huge waves on the sea. If our life vests are made of love, humanity and tolerance, we will not sink. If we hold our hands, we will stay together forever.
My people, wake up already! Note that tomorrow is a religious feast. Let us forget the disagreements and rows between us. Let us stand for the rights of others; let us not give an opportunity to the junta lovers to implement their plans.
