Why would the HSYK not want the KCK to end?

Diyarbakır is a city less political and more beautiful than it appears to be from İstanbul. At least it's not a deprived region, and the only issue of the people in the region is not the Kurdish problem.

Perhaps due to the effect of the media, when thinking of Diyarbakır from İstanbul, all that comes to mind is fighting, brawls and politics. However, the fact that it's not as political a city in reality creates a much more positive situation in terms of finding a solution to the Kurdish problem.

While the Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) is in the spotlight for wanting to remove authorized prosecutors and judges from their current duties and appoint new ones in full view of the watchful eye of the public, the Kurdistan Democratic Confederation (KCK) operation in Diyarbakır is at the heart of the intervention. It is quite interesting that some of the HSYK members want the prosecutor leading the case regarding the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) to be removed from office. As you may know, the KCK is said to be an urban formation of the PKK. This desire to remove prosecutors who are fighting against a problem that has such a strong grip over Turkey could be understood as a breaking point. Despite reactions from people about their decision, the insistence of the HSYK is not something that can be explained. It is particularly baffling that the HSYK wants the prosecutor of the KCK case to be removed from office. This raises the question, “If their prosecutor probes a little deeper into the case, will there be unpleasant realities exposed?”

Today, there is only one reason that the deep state can put forth to justify its existence. That is the PKK. The existence of this terrorist organization or, in other words, the existence of ethnic terror, is of vital importance for them. They couldn't terrorize the religious community. The religious communities of Turkey never allowed for ideologies which approve of the use of force to inch closer to them. The Alevis never became terrorists.

Everyone was very aware of this in the Alevi-Sunni war that has been re-ignited over the years, and they are exercising the utmost care not to fall victim to provocations. The leftist terrorist groups that are looking to maintain their existence through contacts with certain groups within the state have been brought down one by one. Efforts to create chaos in Turkey and conduct politics through terrorism are not as easy as they used to be. Today, the PKK is the only group which can help them in this regard. For them, the Kurdish issue, along with the PKK, must remain unsolved. They are saying, “ Just as the eradication of the Armenian issue, steps towards resolving the conflict regarding Cyprus, peace with Greece and good relations with Syria are all threats to us, the resolution of the Kurdish issue is similarly a problem.” It is possible to say that the deep state is frustrated by every step that is taken toward resolving this issue.

While all of Turkey's old problems are being solved one by one, only the PKK and ethnic terrorism remains. Therefore, it is likely that the PKK will engage in an activity that will test the nerves of society on the brink of this new period of resolution, just as it did prior to every period before the state took steps on the Kurdish matter. If we examine the headline of the Taraf daily from this past Saturday, the government is engaged in an activity to bring down the terrorists from the mountains. Let's see what kind of a reaction this causes within the “deep PKK.”

Just as our prime minister said, “Whenever I want to speak with the Democratic Society Party (DTP), bombs go off somewhere.” Will there be bombs that explode which test our patience? We'll have to wait and see. While the relationship between the deep PKK and the deep state has surfaced, a prosecutor conducting operations against the KCK and thus unraveling the urban structure of the PKK is wanted to be removed from duty by the HSYK. Would you find this move to be well intentioned? Bearing in mind the fact that some circles are extremely bothered, I am very curious as to who will be found behind the KCK, following these operations.
