“Previously, we made moves in parallel with our growth strategy in Central Asian and Middle Eastern markets with the stores we opened in Azerbaijan, Iran and Georgia. We are now opening our biggest store worldwide in the biggest city in Kazakhstan. We will [also] open new stores in Iran this year,” the company's deputy general manager, Eren Ataman, was quoted in the statement as having said at the opening on Sunday.
Vestel products are available from some 1,700 sales points around the world. The new Almaty store has a total area of 1,500 square meters. It is the 59th of what the company calls its “exclusive showrooms.” As well as all the home appliances Vestel produces, the store in the Kazak capital offers customers home textile products from Taç, also a Zorlu Group company, in addition to furniture, cameras and cell phones of various brands, the statement said.
The Almaty store is, however, more than a sales point, the company explained in the statement. “There will be a technical assistance unit for the delivery of post-purchase services. Also, customers visiting the store in Almaty will be able to attend cooking training, to be given by professional chefs,” it said. The store contains all variety of products the company sells in Turkey, with some having been specially tailored to meet the needs of the people in the region.
