The Sakıp Sabancı Museum (SSM) in İstanbul is preparing to host a special event this weekend.

The museum will be home to a concert as part of the ongoing 19th İstanbul Jazz Festival on Saturday when percussionist Magnus Öström of Esbjörn Svensson Trio fame takes to the stage with his new ensemble at the museum’s garden for a concert titled “A Strange Place for Jazz,” inspired from the title of an E.S.T. album called “Strange Place for Snow.” Other performers on the night will include Stefon Harris’s Ninety Miles and İlhan Erşahin.
