Babylon, one of İstanbul’s most popular clubs in the city’s live performance scene, is unrolling its newest outdoor music festival this weekend in the Parkorman open-air venue in Maslak.
The Babylon Soundgarden Festival, which is expected to become an annual event, features live gigs by Austria’s Parov Stelar Band, UK experimental band Oi Va Voi, French electro swing band Caravan Palace and Turkish indie band Büyük Ev Ablukada, among others.
The day-long festival opens at 2 p.m. and features two stages: main stage Happy Sounds and alternative stage Orman (Forest). Parov Stelar Band, Oi Va Voi, Caravan Palace, Büyük Ev Ablukada and 123 will perform on the Happy Sounds stage while the alternative stage will host gigs by numerous Turkish DJs and bands, including an “Oldies but Goldies” set.
Apart from live music, the festival includes a flea market, vinyl stands and performances by dance companies. Tickets are available at Biletix. For more information and the full schedule, see www.babylon.com.tr/en/content/babylon-soundgarden.
